THEM: Covenant is the first season of the Amazon Original horror anthology series THEM, created by Little Marvin and executive produced by Lena Waithe. It was picked up for a 2 season order on July 28, 2018.^[1] It became available to stream on Prime Video on April 9, 2021.^[2]

Synopsis[]

“THEM: Covenant” is set in 1953 and centers on Henry and Lucky Emory (Ayorinde and Thomas), who decide to move their family from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood. The family’s home on a tree-lined, seemingly idyllic street becomes ground zero where malevolent forces both real and supernatural threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.^[3]

On July 28, 2018, Amazon gave THEM a 2 season straight-to-series order.^[1]
On July 28, 2019, Deborah Ayorinde and Ashley Thomas were cast in starring roles.^[4]
On October 4, 2019, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Alison Pill, Ryan Kwanten, Melody Hurd, Javier Botet, and Percy Hynes White were cast in starring roles.^[3]
On October 4, 2019, Derek Phillips was cast in a recurring role.^[3]
Lena Waithe was initially reported to be the showrunner, however, later reports state that Little Marvin is in fact the showrunner.
